Is Milk in India good for Diabetics?
First thing to understand is that the Cows which are of Indian Breed contain A2 protein.
A1 Protein is more in Cows which are imported from other developed countries where There alot of studeis which are linked to consumption of milk with lactose intolerance, Digestive problems and diabetes, But on the contrary The milk form Indian desi cows is considered very easy to digest and that is why Ayurveda recommends it,
So for now the safe milk is milk from Desi cows and that to getting it from a doodhwala.
The Bos Indicus cow is the desi breed that produces the A2 milk with the good quality protein but it has been conveniently replaced by the high-yielding cross breed, popularly known as HF or Holstein Friesian in India which provides the A1 variety of milk. This is something you need to consider beyond the 'type' of milk.”

MILK TEA & Acidity
PH Value of Tea is 4.9, which is mildly acidic, PH Value of Milk is 7.0 which is considered neutral, PH value of tea will increase if you boil the tea for longer times / by adding more tea leaves. Tannic acid present in Tea leaves make it acidic. (Refer acidity chart )

If you are one among those persons who take strong tea you may think about make your tea less stronger. Tea powder is strong, by adding milk you dilute it and by adding sugar you dilute it.
What happens to tea when you
- when you add milk
- adding sugar
- nutrient absorption
Adding Milk to tea does not reduce its ph value, it only masks the sour -acidic taste of tea. moreover The proteins in milk may bind to and neutralize the antioxidants in tea, such that its health benefits of tea are significantly reduced.
To realise this try to prepare a black tea by yourself, see how much tea powder is required to make your tea strong. LESS POWDER WILL BE ENOUGH.
What happens is your tea is already strong, but when you add milk, It masks the tea's strongness forcing you to add more tea powder & more tea powder means more acidity.
Sugar also masks the strongness of tea leaves, So it is important to understand- using sugar also will indirectly make you add more tea powder to your tea.
when you add sugar also need to add more tea powder to make your tea strong, More tea powder - means more acidic.
Experts suggest avoiding additives such as milk or sugar because they combine with tea's natural flavonoids and decrease the benefits. So when you add milk and sugar to your tea The body cannot effectively absorb the the nutrients from the Tea leaves.
Best way to get benefit of Anti oxidants in tea is to drink green tea with lemon added to it.To boost the benefits of green tea, add a squirt of lemon juice to your cup. Previous research has demonstrated that Vitamin C Significantly increases the amount of catechins available for your body to absorb. In fact, citrus juice increased available catechin levels by more than FIVE TIMES, Causing 80% of Tea'S Catechins to be easily absorbed by your body.
To summarise, Milk tea is good only for mental satisfaction, i.e for rewarding our pleasure centres, But as we are human beings we also need pleasure to live happily. At the same time it should be noted that milk tea does not have any health benefits when compared to green tea/ black tea / herbal tea etc.
